San Jose (Costa Rica)

I finally arrived in Costa Rica after a beautiful day of transportation. I left Sherbrooke at 4:25 this morning. The flight from Montreal to San Jose went without a hitch!

I met wonderful people who were all going to have a great time in this country that I can't wait to discover. Special mention to Alicia for Pe0.ples good luck in your future projects!

After passing through Costa Rican customs very easily. I take the time to reassemble my golden bike sheltered from the rain near the airport. Here is a short video clip to show you the force of the rain in Costa Rica.

I then travel 22 km to get to my first place of accommodation. (see below) I was very tired from my day, the difference in altitude (see below) got to my legs on this first day. The road to get to downtown San Jose was difficult. I was lost and disoriented.

Armed with Google Maps and no cell service.

I managed to find my accommodation with difficulty. I must admit that I am starting to have difficulty reading on my phone without my old man's glasses!

After a few kilometers of riding in the dark.

I stopped to enjoy a slice of pizza for 1,200 Costa Rican Colons. That's about $2 USD. Enjoy is a big word! I hadn't eaten in a very long time!

I finally arrive at my little room at $25 CAD per night.

I will spend 3 nights in this wonderful place. Here are my 3 goals for now.

1. Find a Sim card for my phone
2. Visiting downtown San Jose
3. Improving my sense of direction in the capital of Costa Rica

I won't hide from you that I hate big cities! I finally found my little headquarters for 3 nights. I'm happy, I'm burned! I collapse on my bed, thank you life!
